London’s passion for planting and produce comes alive on the world stage in summer 2015 as the inaugural LONDON FLOWER SHOW plans to display the country’s best buds, bowers and flowers in an unprecedented three day cornucopia of blooms, blossoms and produce.
 
Victoria Park in Bow, East London, will become the centre for a celebration of the UK's blooming season with the city's largest collection of garden exhibits, show gardens and flower fantasia revealed for the first time.
 
Displays, trade stalls, live entertainment, garden installations and growing competitions will thrive across London from September 11th to 13th, bringing together people from all walks of life in a celebration of all that is good and green.
 
Embracing ethical and sustainable principles at its core the London Flower Show has been established to provide access to everyone. Entry in the produce growing competition is open to anyone who’s passionate about their produce or fanatical about their flowers. A range of cash prizes totalling £10,000 will be awarded to Gold and Silver medal winners in a wide range of growing and display categories.
 
With ticket prices starting at just £15 and family-friendly entertainment and exhibitions, this is a flower show for horticulture enthusiasts, experts, and hobbyists alike.

The London Flower Show Curator & Content Director Nigel Gibson will be on hand at the launch to introduce and discuss the new offering, alongside representatives, producers, designers and technical managers in attendance and visual demonstrations of key features of and attractions within the event will be on display
 
The LONDON FLOWER SHOW is timed to coincide with the annual farmer’s harvest and the peak of the blooming season that takes place from August to September. It will contain 5 competition pavilions which will house the competition displays as well as an on-site bar and restaurant, a centrally positioned live music space and a range of open air displays exhibiting the work of the UK’s best horticultural specialists in the fields of garden design, aeroponics, hydroponics and garden sculpture.
 
Trade stalls for specialist retailers and professional farmers will be provided within the event to allow horticultural and organic producers to offer their produce for sale to the general public.

Nigel Gibson
 
Nigel has worked in Horticulture for the last 38 years. He began working for local authorities, and then became a Landscaper working on private gardens. During the 38 years Nigel has worked in Interior and Exterior Landscaping (both Industrial and private gardens), Industrial and Private Garden Design and the Hardy nursery stock industry. Nigel was part of a company that won the overall top prize and a RHS Gold Medal at Chelsea Flower Show 1983(with John Vellam Gardens), and has also worked on many other show gardens at Hampton Court (Courtyard Garden Design and Scenic Design Company). Nigel also helped design and build a garden at the San Francisco Garden Show 1997(Andy Hibben Gardens-Gardens with an English Accent), which won joint top prize.
